MORE ABOUT JESSICA
Jessica Kistler came to love working in retirement communities naturally. “I have early memories of going to events in the communities where my mom served,” she says. One of her early goals was to be a professional musician, so she attended Moravian College and received a Bachelor of Music in Performance. Jessica says, “As often happens, our life trajectory changes, and I was eventually named activity director at another retirement community.” She continued her learning, becoming certified as an activity director. She was also a Positive Approach to Care (PAC) Certified Coach for several years and will be attending classes this summer to be a PAC Engagement Leader at Landis Communities. She hasn’t left music behind, playing flute with the Hershey Symphony Orchestra, Moravian Collegium, and Heritage Chorale to name just a few. She says, “I love sunflowers, dragonflies, cats, and always have a “dad joke” to share. I will do whatever I can to get someone to smile.”
