EVENTS NEWS

2025 National Drainage Awards

The 2025 National Drainage Awards will be held at Charlton Athletic Football Club on Wednesday, November 26th, the evening after the first day of the National Drainage Show, which will be held at Excel once again. The Awards have become an established feature in the events calendar, and past winners have fed back how they have used the accolade as a valuable business tool as part of their promotional activity.

But, whilst a great by-product of the Awards, it is not for that reason that they were introduced. It is to celebrate the wonderful service and value that the drainage industry delivers to its customers day in and day out, as what is recognised by some as the fourth emergency service. The drainage industry is very much unheralded

and undervalued for what it delivers, and the Awards are one way of helping to build awareness of its importance and the value it routinely provides.

One of the most heartening things about the Awards is to see the sense of accomplishment, not to mention the pleasure that winners show when their names are announced. But it is not just about winning; being short-listed is an achievement in itself, and many of those who have been shortlisted also use this in their promotional activities.
