Bucher Municipal secures Dorking site to drive sustainable growth and innovation


Bucher Municipal is pleased to announce the acquisition of a significant piece of land from Mole Valley District Council in Dorking, Surrey, UK. Having celebrated the 100th year on the Curtis Road site last year, this strategic purchase marks a key milestone in securing the future of Bucher Municipal’s operations at the Dorking site, enabling further investment, expansion, and technological advancement.


With the secured land, Bucher Municipal is committed to developing state-of-the-art facilities that will support the introduction


of cutting-edge technologies. This investment not only strengthens the company's presence in the local area but also underscores its dedication to sustainable growth. By developing the site, Bucher Municipal expects to achieve significant CO2 savings compared to the existing buildings, aligning with its long- term environmental goals.

VOLKER Kӧhler to assist McElroy in growing its European market


McElroy, the world’s leading designer and manufacturer of thermoplastic pipe fusion equipment, is thrilled to announce that Volker Köhler will play an integral role in helping McElroy grow its business in Europe and around the world.


In his new position, Köhler will provide support and service to channel partners and end users in the region. He will work alongside McElroy UK operations to promote the benefits of both plastic pipe fusion and McElroy’s rugged and reliable equipment line.

Köhler is a 25-year veteran of the plastic pipe industry and over the course of his career has become familiar with McElroy’s fusion lineup. That combination of sales and service experience provides Köhler with a unique perspective to help grow the fusion market in Germany and

“My goal is to support customers and help them make good business decisions,” Köhler said. “I’m excited to step into this role, and happy that it allows me to stay active in the technical side of the pipe fusion industry. That’s something I’m very passionate about.”
