Public Sewer Services rebrands to PSS Utilities
Specialist utilities infrastructure company, Public Sewer Services, part of the Adler & Allan Group, has announced it is rebranding to PSS Utilities.
The change in name reflects the evolution of PSS Utilities’ expertise to serve more of the customers in the utilities industry with a broader range of services.
Managing Director, Lee Freeman, said: “We are excited to announce the next evolution in our history as we evolve our brand to serve a broader set of customers in wastewater, fresh water, and gas.
“The acquisition by Goldman Sachs backed ESG services provider Adler & Allan last year, has been instrumental in our ability to undertake this rebrand exercise which will allow us to tackle more of our customers biggest environmental challenges. of the 21st century.

PSS has been providing an in-house one stop solution for all aspects of water and drainage including specialist drain lining, traditional open cut excavation, tankering, CCTV, blockage clearance and root cutting for over 25 years.
Having invested heavily in innovative no dig technology sourced from around the world, its experienced team can complete patch repairs, structural pipe lining, pipe bursting, impact moling, pitch fibre reforming and directional drilling into a range of underground utilities.

PSS Utilities joined the Adler & Allan Group in 2024. This means that PSS Utilities customers benefit from an even broader range of solutions through Adler & Allan’s environmental network of companies.

Arco teams up with DIY SOS to transform local site
As part of the BBC’s DIY SOS project in Mud Hills Park in Beverley, East Yorkshire, Arco, the UK and Ireland's leading safety products and services company, donated 290 hi-vis garments and 300 pairs of gloves to support the project team.
On the 14th of May, tradespeople gathered to completely transform a field into a new facility for Cherry Tree Youth Club. The volunteer tradespeople completed the project over eight days,

finishing construction of the evening of the 21st of May.
The Cherry Tree Youth Club engages with around 90 young people a week, aiming to improve their lives through structured activity and support. The club emphasises ‘fun’ activities for those between the ages of 10 and 18, with partnered support sessions that help young people within their own community.

kitchen, toilets and an outdoor gym area. The volunteers donated their time and materials to the project to make an impact in the local community. Over the eight days, the volunteers were offered a full catering experience and a chance to put their skills and knowledge together to work with other volunteers.
The show is hosted by British TV presenter Nick Knowles, who hails from Beverley and said that the struggles faced by the group had resonated with him.
