Evo Oxygenating Gel By Bio Sculpture (Average treatment time 30-45 minutes)


I was privileged to recently be invited to the Bio Sculpture Head Office to be one of the first people in the UK to try their new Evo Oxygenating Gel system.


Evo has already launched in South Africa where it has been a huge success. Over two years in the making, this bottle-and-brush system is for professional use and can only be purchased by qualified nail technicians. The system is designed for colour overlays and is ideal for those who are looking for beautiful, shiny nails that will last up to 3 weeks.


Evo will launch in the UK with 40 unique colour options and each shade is named after a different female. After spending some time looking over the extensive colour options, I eventually selected a purple called ‘Kylie’ and a gold glitter for my ring fingers called ‘Crystal’.


Bio Sculpture Nail Technician, Carly Gilbert, started my treatment by pushing back my cuticles, cleansing and shaping my nails. Carly then applied Evo Oxygenating Base, which is a pure gel that allows oxygen and water vapour permeability to and from the nail plate, and cured this for 30 seconds. Evo is also infused with vitamins A and E that migrate to the nail plate, even after curing. Next, Carly applied Evo Colour using the new bottle-and-brush system, cured for 30 seconds, reapplied a second layer and then cured again. Finally, she applied and cured Evo Gloss Top Coat, for a super shiny finish.


I had Evo applied to my nails nearly 3 weeks ago now, and despite my nails being slightly longer than recommended for a Gel Polish treatment, and the fact I continuously subject my nails to long hours of typing, the product is showing no signs of wear and tear. My nails still look as glossy as the day I had them done, so it is a definite thumbs up from me!
