The Shortlist For The Guild Awards Of Excellence 2016


Has Been Announced! At the start of this year we launched The Guild Awards of Excellence 2016 – the only industry awards not to be decided by an expert panel. Here at The Guild, we believe that the people most qualified to know who serves the industry best are our members. So in January, we invited you – the therapists and technicians – to nominate the suppliers and trainers in the beauty, holistic and nails industry who have really impressed you. The nominations have been counted and the shortlist for The Guild Awards of Excellence 2016 has now been announced! Recent news has been dominated with stories about the risk of fake, potentially harmful beauty products being sold by unofficial suppliers. Some of these counterfeit products have been found to contain rat droppings, human urine


and even cyanide. To try and


address this problem The Guild of Beauty Therapists are launching our ‘Genuine Beauty Campaign’, which will encourage beauty professionals to only purchase products and supplies for their beauty business from official brands, distributors and wholesalers.
