Our professional academies give you the opportunity to explore your passions with like-minded people and prepare for a wide range of specialist university courses and careers. We welcome many guest speakers and organise a number of trips to universities and inspiring workplaces throughout the year.

We held an Oxford and Cambridge Information Day, for our Academic Academy and our Vets and Medics Academy. Three former Petroc students, who are now studying at Oxford or Cambridge, returned to talk about their experiences and give advice to our current learners.


STEM AMBASSADORS 14


Many of our Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics learners sign-up to be STEM Ambassadors, volunteering their time to bring STEM subjects to life and demonstrate their value to others. Being a STEM Ambassador as a student is an excellent opportunity to demonstrate your commitment and enthusiasm for the subject to future employers.
