GP-7 SRC

The GP-7 SRC is an absolute masterpiece of Arai engineering, performance and comfort. It also conforms to the new FIA standard 8860-2018, which is intended to be the safest in the world for top-end helmets used in motorsport. Key to the GP-7 SRC’s fundamental strength is its shell, which is built around a proprietary Carbon Fibre (CF) weave that combines high strength, extreme light weight and flexibility so the shell can flex on impact.

The GP-7 FRP is based on the SRC model but constructed with Complex Laminate including Arai’s proprietary Peripheral Belt for additional reinforcement to the shell. The Arai 1-piece multiple density EPS inner liner combined with the PB-cLc outer shell has created an unparalleled helmet design. Different EPS densities are seamlessly formed together into a single liner of uniform thickness matching both the smooth contour of the shell and organic shape of the users head. The GP-7 also features a removable centre chin piece to easily install a drinking system. Multiple vent holes optimises the airflow and keeps head cool while driving. A new Variable Axis System (VAS) shield pivot mechanism has been incorporated.
