Group, has named Donatas Kontrimas as General Manager of its recently launched challenger bank, deVere Vault. He was previously the Lithuania- based Head of Software Delivery Centre at Barclays UK.

deVere Vault will initially provide global services in electronic money and a single card, multi currency service. Customers will be able to open an account in around five minutes, withdraw money from any cash machine worldwide, get real-time notifications with all their transactions, spend money on the card wherever Mastercard is accepted, and send and receive money in most major currencies instantly with other deVere
inancial advisor, deVere Vault account holders.
Bank Leumi has appointed Martin Droney, pictured, as Executive Vice President, Chief Operations & Technology Officer, based in New York. He joins from Fiserv, where he most recently served as Chief Information Officer of the Card Services Division.
“Martin’s extensive knowledge of financial services technology products, and the expertise he gained at one of the largest vendors of products to the industry, will be great assets as he manages Leumi’s expanding technology infrastructure,” says Avner Mendelson, President and CEO at Bank Leumi USA, which recently completed a $40 million technology upgrade. “Martin will be a key facilitator of the bank’s ongoing growth. His experience, particularly at Fiserv, will help us stay ahead of the curve on the quickly changing technology landscape, including evolving and sophisticated cybersecurity issues affecting banks.”
During his time at Fiserv, Droney was responsible for all aspects of the software delivery lifecycle, project management, security, audit and technology operations. He was also a founding member of the Fiserv Technology Senior Leadership Team, responsible for setting and executing enterprise technology strategy. From 2004 to 2010, he worked as Director of IT Project Management
at GES Exposition Services, and he previously held multiple roles at RWD Technologies.
Temenos has announced Duena Blomstrom as Chief Growth Officer for Marketplace, its online store of 100+ FinTech solutions that have been certified and pre-integrated with the Temenos Suites. This is pitched as the first provider-led Open Banking platform complete with a non-production PaaS environment designed to speed banks up and allow them to test, innovate and compete in the new post-PSD2 financial services world.
Blomstrom is well known in the FinTech sector as an analyst, entrepreneur and Angel Investor, a mentor for Startupbootcamp and Techstars, and the inventor of the Emotional Banking, EX and Bank Branding concepts. For the past 18 years, she has operated on the strategy and consulting side, be it for sales or marketing.
Before joining Temenos, she acted as the Head of Sales, Marketing or Strategy for the likes of
Matchi.biz, Handpoint, Memento and Au10tix. She has also been the Head of Sales and Marketing at Meniga and has worked on the digital side of things with such FIs as Skandia, ING Spain, ING Australia, Momentum, CSOB, CBD, CheBanca, Unicredit, Saastopanki, Commerzbank,
