Plan to attend some of the breakout sessions (check schedule at fellowshipforward.org/convention)

Reaching our Muslim Neighbors What is Islam, and why is it in the news so much? What can you do to reach out to Muslim refugees and immigrants in North America? Learn to pray for these people and to develop practical ways you can make a difference in your community. Presenter will be Abd-Almaseeh (“Servant of Christ”), a church planter and Christian worker from Sudan. He displays a clear testimony of Christ’s saving work within a Muslim-dominated society.

Understanding immigrant culture Dr. Mike Schmidt, former missionary and current head of Inter- cultural Studies of Grace University, will present a seminar on guilt-based and shame-based cultures. Tis will help us relate to our immigrant neighbors, and, because of a shiſt in North Ameri- can culture, it will also help us understand neighbors who have no Christian foundation. Dr. Schmidt will share many practical ideas about how our thinking should change in terms of how to present the gospel.
