Closed borders due to the coronavirus pandemic kept FEBC President Kevin Stone and Ministries Coordinator Gary Kreh- biel from attending, but Lakeland pastors and wives met anyway for informal relaxation and fellowship with few plans. Each pastor did a little something: Jared Fast led singing; Mark Funk along with Ben Funk, Henry Krahn and Mike Reimer from Avant Ministries each led a session; and Mike Comtois did some organizing and a whole lot of laughing. It was a very refreshing, relaxing time and an opportunity to enrich our relationships.
Te Fellowship plans regional retreats as a way to connect, refresh, and encourage clergy families of the Fellowship.
Canadian Board of Directors Appoints New Member Jared Fast has been appointed as a Canadian Director. Since
September 2016 he has been pastor of the Evangelical Mennonite Brethren Church of Grunthal, Man. Jared and his wife, Colleen, have four children ranging from 18 to 12. Before this appoint- ment, Jared served on camp boards, on the Manitoba provincial accreditation board for camps, as a school trustee, and on church boards. In addition to pastoral ministry, Jared loves to learn, enjoys playing golf and soccer, and is always ready to ride his motorcycle.
