Continued fom page 12 them into God’s word during the two Bible studies that are
held. Te camp was started by Gospel Mission Union (Avant
Ministries) in 1958, but aſter a few years, GMU sold the camp to FEBC Canada. FEBC Canada continues to own the property, but FBBC manages the property and directs the camp programs. Christian youth and adults from Fellowship churches in Manito- ba and Ontario help support and staff the camp.
Te Project Over the years, the camp shower house has fallen into
disrepair, and urgently needs to be rebuilt. Tis will require the existing building to be moved off its foundation in order to repair the foundation. Ten, using as much of the existing building as possible, the shower house will be restored. Windows and doors will be replaced, new shower stalls put in place, and new plumb- ing installed.
Te Impact What could be less exciting than a shower house? Te
purpose of FBBC is not to have clean kids. Te purpose is to have kids in a right relationship with God. Te shower house, the boat house, the dining hall are only tools to give kids an opportunity to find God’s love and spritual cleansing. As a tool, the shower house has a large impact in providing clean comfort. Listen as the kids explan the impact that the camp has had on them.
• “Fisher Bay Bible Camp is very important to me. It has taught me many things and many ways on how to spread the love and Word of God. Fisher Bay showed me that I’m not alone ….”
• “Fisher Bay is important to me … you never wanna leave once you get there ….”
• “[Camp] is something to look forward to in the summer time; it’s a place where you can go and forget about all the bad things in life for one week and meet new friends. It’s like a family; when we go there to learn about Jesus, we also meet new people who teach us a thing or two about him ….”
• “Fisher Bay is important to me because that’s where I found my Lord and Saviour, and I want other kids who were like me before I was Chris- tian to finally find Christ, so I’m dedicated to work there for my Jesus and help other kids who are lost.”
Nearby Riverbend Bible Church and people
from Stuartburn Gospel Chapel and Vita Bible Church provide off-season discipling for campers.
Te Opportunity We know that the current crisis has created needs in all of
our communities. Rather than receiving a Project Offering for Connect20, we encourage all of our church members to consider how they might help meet these needs. May Jesus be exalted as we love others.
