arc welding solutions. The brand is synonymous with world-leading expertise in three core sectors: automatic orbital TIG welding systems, automated TIG and plasma welding solutions and TIGer weld overlay. Established in Nantes, France since
1961, the company manufactures a variety of automated TIG welding equipment, including a wide range of orbital open and closed welding heads. As a smart-factory oriented company, Polysoude products are all designed to be ready for Industry 4.0. During the Summer of 2025,
Next, a world First in making Video Monitoring accessible for Open Welding Heads: The MU IV 25/115 with Integrated HD Camera Introducing a new feature to its most renowned open welding head range by equipping it with a high-definition on-board video system. This innovation provides active joint tracking support and continuous improvement of welding parameters (WPS), making it a perfectly adapted solution for industries seeking reliable and reproducible welds.
olysoude specialises in the design, development and manufacture of innovative
a ‘cleanroom’ to show the typical laboratory welding environment required for pharmaceutical as well as some food & beverage customers. Polysoude’s custom-built equipment
Key advantages of the MU IV range:
•• Secure remote monitoring: The range offers a standard welding HD camera with remote operation up to 10 metres, that can be extended for specials installations.
•• Ease of use: Real-time monitoring with HD imaging and Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) resolution, delivers frame-by-frame visualisation for accurate tracking of welding procedure specifications (WPS).
and automated welding systems are renowned for their technical excellence, they have been adopted by leading global companies and state of-the- art manufacturers, and the cutting edge equipment is employed in a variety of demanding applications. General Manager, Colin Parish,
Polysoude opened the doors to its impressive UK Training & Development Centre in Wigan to around 30 guests from various industry sectors. The new facility offers a comprehensive demonstration area for select samples of the company’s technology, including
•• Maintained health and safety: Reduces operators' exposure to electric arc risks and difficult access conditions. Clamp Inserts, demonstrates commitment to quality and durability, ensuring customer satisfaction.
explains: “Automation and automatic welding is a field in which Polysoude has taken the lead for over 60 years. For six decades the company has provided customers with its expertise in automated welding with TIG Cold Wire, TIG Hot Wire and Plasma processes. This long track record has enabled it to develop and enhance a range of ‘generic and modular tools’, but finally the welding process and the joint characteristics determine the nature of the ‘tool’ for each application.”

Polysoude are thrilled to announce the official launch of two new products - First up, the UHP1000
The UHP1000 is engineered for reliability, durability, and robustness to thrive in demanding environments. Its endurance ensures consistent performance over time, whilst its lightweight design facilitates easy handling and transportation in the field. Compactness optimizes workspace, even in confined areas. Backed by a lifetime warranty of the Tube Clamp Inserts, demonstrates commitment to quality and durability, ensuring customer satisfaction.
The UHP1000 stands out with its unparalleled features, and functionality:
Quick Change Motor Unit: Easily switch between interchangeable UHP 250, 500 & 1000 modules
Application: anywhere where there are reduced axial and radial clearances around the workpiece
He points out that every industry
has different criteria when it comes to welding. Some give priority to manufacturing output and concentrate on basic welding automation, others demand full traceability of welding parameters and data integration through their network. “This is generally the case for the assembly of high value-added workpieces. Specific applications, such as ‘Narrow Groove’ welding of heavy wall thicknesses, for example, in power plant construction, require the equipment to be reliable at all times and demand a total understanding of the welding process in difficult environmental conditions. The slightest defect on any unique high-cost workpiece can have major consequences,” says Colin Parish. For every customer, a Polysoude
project manager will support you throughout your project, from drawing up the specification, through the tender stage and right up to the start of production.
