Representing 26 countries over several thousand islands, islets, reefs and cays southeast of the Gulf of Mexico and the North American mainland, the Caribbean is a beach paradise come to life on the doorstep of the United States. Easy proximity both by air and as a cruise stop makes the Caribbean a popular wedding and honeymoon destination. From secluded tranquility to buzzing with activity, there’s an island to capture every heart.

The sovereign island nation, a colorful confluence of East Indian, African, English and French cultures, saw a record number of visitors arriving in 2019, with American Airlines also ramping up its service to the island.
