Bayan-Ölgii province, Mongolia: In remote areas of Mongolia, nomads keep the tradition of eagle hunting alive. While eagles are used for hunting elsewhere, particularly Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, the practice is most common in Bayan-Ölgii, where an estimated 80 percent of the world’s eagle hunters live.
