Petit St Vincent ST VINCENT & THE GRENADINES

Petit St Vincent is a 115-acre privately owned resort island located in the Southern Caribbean. The resort occupies the entire island, and has a collection of 22 one- and two-bedroom cottages and villas dotted along the beaches and bluffs of the island, perfectly positioned for the utmost in privacy and seclusion. The resort was originally developed in the late

1960s and continues to be regularly refreshed and updated, however, the ‘unplugged’ classic Caribbean low-key luxury vibe remains blissfully intact. There are no televisions, telephones or internet connections in the cottages (though there is a wi-fi signal in some public areas), and guests still use the original flagpole communication system for requests: raise the yellow flag outside of your cottage for room service requests, raise the red flag for ‘do not disturb’. With a staff-to- guest ratio of three-to-one, PSV’s attention to detail and tailored service is unparalleled. Originally designed in cooperation with

Swedish architect Arne Hasselqvist, all 22 of the island’s cottages and villas were constructed in

traditional West Indian style. Walls are built using native bluebitch stone with traditional arched doorways and peaked roofs, sliding glass doors that open onto wide decks and terraces offering breathtaking views, taking advantage of the setting while maintaining guests’ privacy. Each structure blends seamlessly into the landscape, allowing the natural beauty of the island to take centre stage. The resort has two restaurants and two bars,

and also offers unlimited room service as well as the opportunity to enjoy dinner anywhere on the island. An extensive chef’s kitchen provides fresh vegetables, fruits and herbs. A hilltop spa, tucked into the trees, caters to guests with massage therapy, facials, daily yoga and manicure/pedicure services. Tennis courts and a nature fitness trail that winds around the island with exercise stations keeps even the most active guests busy. Petit St Vincent also offers a full- service dive centre with scuba instruction and certification, kayaks, stand-up paddleboards and other watersports equipment for those wanting to explore the region’s crystal-blue waters.
