From the moment you enter the gates of The Great House, there’s a sense that you’re somewhere special. Throughout the rest of the villa, coral
stone walls, jalousie shutters and calming colour palettes have been chosen to create a tranquil space that blends seamlessly with the surroundings. There are also restored Barbadian rattan and mahogany antiques reflecting the area’s heritage and tradition. Set on a sprawling 2.5 acre estate filled with
velvety lawns, lily ponds and manicured tropical gardens, The Great House offers guests a superb level of exclusivity and numerous options for entertainment. These include a home cinema,
spa treatment rooms, fully equipped gm and a floodlit tennis court. There’s even a large games room with backgammon and chess, plus a pool table and air hockey. Complimentary watersports equipment is also available, including use of a captained 33ft Regal motorboat, an 18ft speedboat, snorkelling gear, paddleboards and a variety of water toys. The Great House also has a host of dining and
relaxation options, from The Great Bar — flanked with saltwater aquariums overlooking the pool — to a large private beach bar with an expansive outdoor kitchen area and pizza oven. For more luxurious al fresco dining, there’s a magnificent pavilion overlooking the ocean, plus three gazebos dotted around the gardens, which make great spots for sundowners and afternoon tea. For those working remotely or answering the
occasional email, the estate’s speedy wi-fi means that every suite can be used as a personal office space. Alternatively, guests can make good use of the nine-person conference room or slip off to the library for some peace and quiet.
