reason, it has partnered with one of the UK’s leading financial services review websites, Smart Money People. As of February 2024, the Beverley has a 4.67 rating* on the mortgage section of the platform and prides itself on comments such as those below. ‘I was most impressed with the socie-
ty’s view to offer older people mortgages. Our process was not plain sailing, but they managed to keep the offer open, and we’re very pleased with the way they’ve operated and kept us informed,’ wrote one customer on Smart Money People. So, without compromising on your
standard of living, why not enjoy the fruits of your labours? Scan the QR code below to learn more about how Beverley Building Society’s RIO mortgage could help you start your next adventure.

ementia Adventure is an award-winning charity with a vision for a more active
and fulfilling life for everyone living with dementia. Research shows that connecting with nature and outdoor activities has significant benefits for the health and wellbeing of people living with dementia, and it has been shown that with the right support it is possible to access these benefits in an enjoyable way. Te charity provides supported
holidays, free dementia training for family and friends and training for professionals and organisations. Its aim is to provide holidays to as
many people who need it as possible. Te Dementia Adventure Support Fund has been set up to ensure this includes those who wouldn’t be able to fund a break on their own. Te Fund can be used to contribute towards the cost of a holiday or towards something that’s creating a barrier to someone taking part in a holiday, such as trans- portation or appropriate clothing. One carer and her husband, both
aged 73, went to the Norfolk Broads. She said, “I don’t think I can put into words how special a holiday this was. He lit up. We both did. We hadn’t really had a break for years and it just sounded so nice. “I’ll be honest, I was a bit nervous at first and got a bit stressed about

There are about 900,000 people living with dementia in the UK, with that number projected to rise to 1.6million by 2040. Until there’s a cure, we need ways to live better with dementia, slow its progress and reduce the likelihood of developing the condition.
it all because it’s not just as simple as getting up and going any more. Tere’s always lots to think about and consider and plan now. But I honestly needn’t have worried. From the moment we left the house, it was like all our cares were left behind.” Tis couple particularly love
being by the sea, so Norfolk was the perfect holiday location for them. But there are different types of desti- nations across the UK. Last year, a new, fully accessible, eco-friendly holiday cottage in the beautiful Kingdom of Fife in Scotland was added to the inventory and became an immediate hit. Each year, Dementia Adventure
helps families experience a supported break they might not otherwise be able to take. Players of People’s Postcode Lottery have to date raised more than £3 million to help with the charity’s work. Te teams at Dementia Adventure are friendly, positive and hands-on.
