BiBo Set within Shoreditch’s Mondrian hotel, BiBo is a vibrant and buzzing restaurant and courtyard. At the helm is Andalucian chef Dani García, who was awarded three Michelin stars in Spain. BiBo has a range of menus to explore — including a la carte, brunch and express lunch — as well as a mouthwatering
desserts and drinks menu. Te oxtail brioche, filled with sliced mushrooms and rocket, is a thing of beauty, as are the creamy and crunchy jamón croquetas. BiBo is also a great spot for enjoying a cocktail or a sangria, and the paella (which serves two people) makes for a great sharing dish.

Sabor Founded by the team who formerly worked at Barrafina, Sabor first opened its doors in February 2018, clinching a Michelin star just eight months after opening. Te restaurant is tucked away just behind Regent Street, and offers a welcome oasis for tired but tasteful shoppers. Te food here is inspired by Andalucian tapas bars, the asadors (restaurants serving food cooked in a wood-fired oven) of Castile and the seafood restaurants of Galicia. Standout dishes include suckling pig, as well as camarones fritos (fried shrimp) with runny egg. You can sit at the bar, or book a table upstairs at one of the communal tables, where you’ll be greeted with rustic decor, chalkboard menus and a tiled kitchen.

Barrafina Coal Drops Yard With outlets now across King’s Cross, Covent Garden and Borough Market, plus a Michelin star under its belt for its Soho site, Barrafina is a top destination when it comes to enjoying authentic and delicious tapas. Barrafina Coal Drops Yard, the largest of the Barrafinas, is located on the top floor of Coal Drops Yard at King’s Cross and features a giant
open-plan counter and red leather stools so you can watch the chefs in action. Food is inspired by traditional Catalonian cuisine, and the arroz negro (black rice) and txistorra (Basque paprika sausage) tortilla with alioli on top are both well worth a mention.

Arros QD For outstanding wood-fired paella and grilled tapas, book yourself a table at Fitzrovia’s Arros QD. Founded by chef Quique Dacosta — holder of seven Michelin stars — this restaurant serves authentic Spanish cuisine at its finest. Downstairs, you’ll find a six-metre wood-fired stove which is at the heart of the cooking and makes for some fantastic entertainment, while for a more classic dining experience, you can book a table upstairs. Te menu combines Mediterranean flavours with fine Spanish ingredients: think Olavidia cheese (voted world’s best cheese in 2021) and Ibérico ham. Te paella is deliciously authentic, with a classic crisp base, and comes in a variety of styles including with Cornish tomahawk steak, crab and kimchi or grilled eel and confit duck.
