media and online? Leading aesthetic practitioner Dr Vincent Wong, director of aesthetic training and product brand VinDoc Lab, gives his opinion on what to look out for in 2019. He’s been using plasma in his practice for over fi ve years, making him one of the UK’s top plasma experts.


Q: So, Dr Wong, what are your thoughts on the love/hate relation- ship the aesthetic market seems to have with plasma?


A: Plasma is amazing in the right hands and with the right device. T e problems we’re seeing in the UK are due to the large number of unregulated devices on the market. Even so-called reputable names within the industry are selling very poor-quality devices that cost as little as £100 for up to £4,000 with little to no training. I feel sorry for the practitioners


who have bought these devices. T ey’ve trusted big names within the beauty industry and have been left out of pocket with a device that they’re not suitably trained to use


Q: What sort of plasma pen do you use and why?


A: I use the Jett Medical device. It’s the world’s only direct current plasma pen. I fi rst saw the Jett Medical plasma pen at a show. I’d seen other plasma pens, but

company that off ered accredited training. T is was the other thing that drew me to them as I believe that good training is needed for any practitioner to be able to carry out this treatment to a high standard.


Q: So, do you think all plasma devices should use direct current tech- nology like the Jett Medical plasma pen? Would this be safer for clients? A: Jett Medical actually holds patent on the DC technology used
