Standard Test Procedures for Pattern Materials Online Release

T

he Investment Casting Institute is proud to announce that the Standard

Test Procedures for

Pattern Materials Guide is now available in pdf and an online interactive form via the Institute's website. The ICI Publication committee members, supported by ICI Member wax manufacturers developed this interactive guide as a resource to our members. This guide offers the user step by step instructions, detailing safe and accurate performance of incoming wax material testing. Building on the concept that a picture is worth a thousand words, this guide offers photographic depiction of how these tests are performed as well as video, taking the user through step by step application of the procedures. While the online interactive

guide addresses those tests that are economical and safe for foundries to put into daily use, the pdf version of the guidebook addresses numerous other tests that are performed at the wax manufacturer. These tests are not recommended for foundry use, but are provided for informational purposes. A special thank you to the members of the Publication committee that assisted in this project including The Blayson Group Ltd., Westech Wax Products, Paramelt and Remet Corporation/Remet UK Ltd. To access the online and pdf

version, log in to the Member's Only area of the website and navigate to Resources then Publications and then Online Standard Test Procedure for Pattern Material.
