The Travel by vintage car in

Havana 34

Cuba is essentially a living classic car museum. The country is full of Chevrolets, Fords, Pontiacs, Buicks and such, some in pristine condition, others completely dilapidated and rundown. American cars were imported into Cuba for about 50 years before the embargo was put in place. There’s as many as 60,000 vintage vehicles in Cuba, and many have been kitted out to provide tours for visitors. There’s no better way to explore the streets of Havana.

Take a journey to remember on the

Once the most important trading route connecting the East and West, the Silk Road conjures up images of traders laden with gems, spices and spools of silk crossing sand dunes and mountain ranges to sell their wares. A 4000-mile network of routes snaking from Istanbul to Beijing, today the famous path offers the chance to venture to places barely visited by Westerners, such as Kyrgyzstan with its stunning natural beauty and Uzbekistan with its elaborate Islamic architecture.
