It’s an exciting time to be publishing Travel Weekly’s Guide to Homeworking 2026. Competition is at an all-time high in the homeworking sector, both in terms of the number of agencies and the number of agents sharing their expertise to create outstanding itineraries.
The sector is as accessible as it’s ever been, but that wider net can also spark more questions from newcomers. In this guide, published in association with Protected Trust Services (PTS), we’ve posed a handful of those to our panel of experienced homeworkers. With one of the biggest draws being flexible working, we also catch up with agents who work full or part-time and learn about the positives and pitfalls of both.
One way to stand out from the crowd is to specialise in a niche and we chat to a quartet of agents who have done just that – and made it a success. And while the sector may be growing rapidly, it’s evolving just as quickly. Artificial intelligence is fast becoming a go-to tool for agents, so we explore its impact on their day-to-day role. Having a social media presence is also increasingly important, so we hear from agents who have built an engaged audience.
Whether you’re a seasoned pro or are looking to become a home-based agent, there’s plenty in this guide to help you either get started or take your business to the next level.
