Southport selects the perfect ingredients for its Pick ‘n’ Mix
Visit Southport has the recipe for success, thanks to a new travel trade initiative which is attracting more groups to the town. Launched at the British Tourism
& Travel Show, the ‘Southport Pick ‘n’ Mix’ initiative was developed with coach tourism consultancy Stuart Render Tourism. It offers ideas for four-night

Manchester’s Legoland Discovery Centre has removed the Northern Rail train at the centre of ‘Mini Land’ and taken the railway podium from the miniature Manchester. cluster general manager at Merlin Entertainments, said: “The shift in visitor patterns marries with the Northern Rail change to timetables and surge of cancellations and delays. “As a northern business,
we depend on visitors from neighbouring areas, and I know we’re not alone. Northern Rail’s ongoing problems are such that it’s impacting on business. “The suggestion from staff that the Northern train should be removed from the attraction, we feel, reflects events from the region.”
