Classic Collection trumpets pricing, hotels and safety
Ben Ireland
Classic Collection Holidays has nine new brochures available for agents. New destinations in the
redesigned brochures include Costa Rica, the city of Matera in southern Italy and Elba Island in Tuscany. Classic said its range offers
“improved pricing” and an expanded portfolio of luxury resort hotels and boutique properties, private tours and pre-bookable experiences. It reported a 30% year-on-year
uplift in September for agent requests for brochures for next summer. Alex Gavalda, director of
product and commercial, said: “Responding to demand from our travel agent partners, we now have an even broader range of bookable properties in addition to those featured in our brochures. “For example, in our long-haul
Your World brochure, we feature 11 hotels in the Maldives, but
recent investment in upgrades to our reservations system has paid dividends, giving us the flexibility to book holidays from a choice of 70 Maldives properties. In Dubai, we have eight hotels in our brochure, but access to over 200. “All additional properties meet
Classic’s robust health, safety and quality obligations. “Further to the contracts and
offers we have negotiated directly with our brochured properties, we also have live availability and live pricing with a wider range of Classic-approved hotel stock. “Working this way, we are able
to offer our travel agent partners what they have asked for – the widest choice of properties at the very best available prices.” Classic said a deal with Flexible
Autos had given “a favourable influence on range, prices and options” for self-drive holidays. Brochures can be ordered through Tradegate and also
downloaded online.
