Holland America unveils two shore excursion ranges

Holland America Line has launched two new shore excursion collections comprising more than 150 tours worldwide. Both programmes – called
Meet the Maker and Community Connections – have been designed for passengers to “immerse themselves in the heart of local life and engage with communities”. The Meet the Maker excursions
provide opportunities for passengers to meet local artisans, chefs, farmers and craftspeople to “get behind the flavours and traditions of the region”. An example is the Tasmanian
Tasting Trail in Burnie Tasmania, which is available on departures including the 14-day Australia and New Zealand voyage departing on January 3, 2027. The experience leads in at £2,429
and includes a visit to the House of Anvers for handmade chocolates and tea, lunch with a local family and stops at Ashgrove Cheese Factory and Spreyton Cider Company. Another is the Magna Grecia

Farm Experience in Katákolon, Greece, which includes a visit to a fourth-generation family estate, with a classic Greek meze meal paired with local wine, followed by a Syrtaki dance demonstration. This is available on the 11-day
Greek Isles: Istanbul Overnight with Dubrovnik, departing May 4, 2027, with prices from £2,429. The Community Connections
excursions aim to show “ways of life” and support local businesses. A sample experience is the At
Home with the O’Hanlon Family in Cobh, Ireland, where passengers have a three-course traditional Irish lunch in the house of a local family. This is available on departures
including the 14-day Wild British Isles: Glasgow Overnight, which leads in from £3,199, including the
line’s Have it All package.

Disney’s recently launched digital destination, PixieDust HQ, brings a wealth of resources, training
and updates to travel professionals, combining Walt Disney World Resort, Disneyland Paris and Disney Cruise Line knowledge in one immersive platform.
LEANNE MORENO, a Disney Dream Maker from Virgin Atlantic Holidays’ Bristol store, shares how the platform helps her bring clients’ dreams to life.
“My favourite thing about PixieDust HQ is that it turns training into something people actually want to sign up for. The platform is a mix of Disney magic and genuinely useful tools that make learning feel effortless. It keeps you updated, builds confidence and gives you everything you need to feel like a Disney expert without it ever feeling like training. I’ve been using PixieDust HQ as my go-to hub for quick, practical Disney updates. The ‘What’s New’ section helps me stay on top of offers and resort updates, and the sales toolkits are a huge help when I need clear explanations. Overall, it makes learning, knowing and selling Disney fun and helpful. So far, I’ve collected 300 points and enjoyed doing it – the first incentive was great fun. Being part of the shakedown cruise on Disney Fantasy with my family was amazing.”
