Princess to base 3,600-berth Sky Princess in Southampton

Princess Cruises is to base Sky Princess in Southampton for seven months in 2022. The 3,600-passenger vessel is the newest and biggest


ship the line will ever have sailed from the British port. It will operate Princess’s longest-ever ex-UK summer


season – 215 days from March to October (a month longer than the previous record) – and offer more school holiday sailings than before. Itineraries include a 14-day Easter school holidays


sailing to Spain, France and Portugal; a seven-day summer half-term Scandinavia voyage in May coinciding with the extra bank holiday announced in aid of the Queen’s Jubilee in 2022; and the return of a 25-day Canada & New England voyage, departing in September and including an overnight in New York. Crown Princess, offering British Isles cruises from May to October; and 2,200-guest Island Princess, which will
