Silversea adds flights and more to its fares from March 2022
Silversea Cruises is expanding the all-inclusive nature of its fares by including air travel, transfers and at least one shore excursion in its 2022-23 programme. From March 2022, all fares
will include return air travel and transfers, “providing unprecedented value and convenience” for passengers. Business-class upgrades will be
included for selected destinations and sailings such as world cruises and extended grand voyages. Savings in the form of “non-
use air credit” will be offered to passengers making their own travel arrangements or to those travelling from excluded regions. Passengers may also have one
or two hotel nights or the use of a day room included in the fare, depending on flight schedules. The programme features 315
cruises across seven continents, calling at 669 destinations in 114 countries, with 61 maiden calls. The programme for Silversea’s
fleet of 10 luxury ships goes on general sale on December 10.

Celebrity boosts Caribbean and Europe sailings for next winter

Celebrity Cruises has unveiled an expanded Caribbean presence and new itineraries in Europe and South America for winter 2021-22. Eight ships, including Edge-class sister vessels
Celebrity Edge and Celebrity Apex, will sail in the Caribbean. Edge will offer a full season of seven-night eastern and western Caribbean itineraries. Celebrity Silhouette, which recently underwent
a multimillion-dollar upgrade, will operate new southern Caribbean itineraries featuring overnights in Aruba and Curaçao. Celebrity Summit will replace Celebrity Infinity and
sail four and five-night itineraries from Miami, plus two ex-Mexico sailings in December 2021. In Europe, Celebrity Infinity will extend its season

Emirates is boosting UK-Dubai capacity this winter after the UAE was granted a travel corridor. The Gulf carrier will fly four times a day from Heathrow from November 27, up from three a day, and boost Manchester flights from eight to 10 a week from December 1. Birmingham and Glasgow frequencies will both rise from four a week to daily from November 27 and December 1 respectively.

Saint Lucia to start imposing $3/$6
daily tourism levy from next week Saint Lucia is to introduce a tourism levy from December 1. Guests will be charged $3 or $6 per person per night, depending if their room rate is below or above $120. A 50% rate applies to guests aged between 12 and 17, and no fee applies to under-12s. Accommodation providers, which collect the levy, will get a VAT reduction from 10% to 7%.
