Intrepid launches its first cruises in southeast Asia

Intrepid Travel is growing its adventure cruising programme for 2018-19 by expanding into southeast Asia for the first time.


The operator will offer five new itineraries, with a total of 20 departures, across Thailand, Vietnam and Indonesia. The tours, some of which are combinable or can be sailed in reverse, are: Cruising Thailand & Malaysia; North Vietnam Coastal Cruising; Cruising the Thai Islands; South Vietnam Coastal Cruising; and Indonesian Islands Cruise. The sailings, on small 50-passenger ships, will start in December 2018 and each will operate without an engine for one day as part of Intrepid’s aim to become the world’s most sustainable cruise operator.
