Te Visit USA Roadshow returns to the UK with events in Glasgow, Leeds and London in October. Agents will have the chance to


meet more than 30 exhibitors at speed networking sessions. Te roadshows will take


place at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Glasgow, on October 1; the Leeds Marriot Hotel on October 2; and the Canary Riverside Plaza Hotel, London, on October 3. Each event will have a prize

Not in the Guidebooks seeks to build further ties with trade

An excursions specialist that markets itself on its sustainable and responsible credentials is keen to build ties with the trade. Start-up business Not in the Guidebooks, which


launched 18 months ago, said its off-the-beaten-track excursions would particularly appeal to clients keen to book with an ethical company. All excursions are operated by local, licensed


guides and focus on offering an authentic and different experience to those offered by destination marketing companies, which supply many tour operators. It currently offers 400-plus excursions in countries


including France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, India, Brazil, Colombia, South Africa, Tailand and Vietnam. Sample excursions in Europe include a drive in a traditional Citroen 2CV through the Médoc wine


Virgin and Delta to boost flights to New York, Seattle and Los Angeles


Codeshare partners Virgin Atlantic and Delta are to increase flights between the US and UK. From March 2020, Delta will operate three daily flights from Heathrow to JFK, while Virgin will operate five. Virgin will also boost its Heathrow services to Seattle from seven to 11 flights a week and to Los Angeles from 14 to 17 flights a week. Delta will introduce Gatwick-Boston and Virgin will launch Gatwick-JFK, both in May 2020, while in the same month Delta will replace Virgin on the Manchester-Boston route.
