Leger Holidays adds 17 battlefield tours to 2022-23 range 50%

Escorted tours specialist Leger Holidays has added 17 new tours to its latest battlefield tours programme. The 76-page brochure, which is
also online, features more than 80 tours, departing between May 2022 and October 2023. Escorted by specialist guides,
the tours visit battlefields from both world wars, the Napoleonic wars and the American civil war. New tours include The Silent Cities: The CWGC
Discount for kids aged eight to 17
Story, in partnership with the Commonwealth War Graves Commission, looking at the organisation’s history in Belgium and France, with specially arranged visits and talks exclusive to Leger Holidays. The five-day tour costs from £559. Also new is Behind The Lines
on The Somme, which includes lesser-visited cemeteries, soldiers’ graffiti and new museums. It costs from £549 for five days. A new four-day tour is Anne
Frank in Amsterdam, telling the story of the Holocaust in the Netherlands. It costs from £449. Tour durations range from four
to 16 days and include hotels with breakfast and coach travel. Liam Race, Leger Shearings
Group’s chief executive, said: “Since we introduced battlefield tours in 1997, Leger Holidays
has established an unrivalled reputation for both our military history tours and our expert guides, who are all highly knowledgeable, approachable and bring the history to life.” A 50% discount is available on
selected tours for those aged eight to 17 when travelling with an adult. Furthermore, Leger offers
schools and colleges group tours to First and Second World War sites through Holt Tours, which has been part of the Leger brand since 2015.
