Riviera Travel has put most of its 2023 Asia tours and cruises on sale. The escorted tour operator offers 13 itineraries covering Japan, Vietnam, Malaysia, Sri Lanka and India. A 13-day Japan: Land of the Rising Sun escorted tour – including visits to Tokyo and Kyoto and a high-speed bullet train trip – costs £3,699, including flights, transfers, accommodation and excursions.

TourRadar launches trade platform with agents’ commission
Multi-day tours platform TourRadar has launched a B2B portal that allows agents to earn commission from bookings. The Vienna-based online
marketplace is connected to more than 2,500 operators whose tours can be booked direct by consumers through its B2C marketplace or now through travel agencies and other trade distribution channels via its new Adventure Booking Platform. The company uses the term
‘adventures’ to encompass multi-day tours that can range from a food and wine tour in Tuscany to an Everest Base Camp trek. It says more than 50,000 multi-day adventures are available on its Adventure Booking Platform. Travis Pittman, chief executive
and co-founder, said: “We want more people to get out of the main tourist hubs and experience the planet on a new more meaningful and sustainable level.”

Audley unveils new agent hub and Canada marketing drive

Audley Travel has unveiled a raft of new agent tools and an agent-focused campaign to promote Canada. The tailor-made specialist has developed an online
hub for travel agents featuring a suite of marketing materials as part of its “ongoing commitment to the trade”. These include window posters of destinations; mini
brochures; adverts to promote Audley trips on social media; and logos and images to promote the operator in agents’ own marketing. All the marketing materials include a single call to
action to contact a ‘local independent travel agent’. The new hub provides agents with access to
Audley’s team to ask advice about itineraries. The operator has also partnered with Destination
Canada to promote the country to the trade during November and December. The campaign will
Manchester flights to Tunis with Nouvelair to resume in March
Tunisian carrier Nouvelair will relaunch flights from Manchester to Tunis next year. Two Airbus A320 flights will run each week from March 29. Manchester airport managing director Karen Smart said: “The return of Nouvelair is terrific news for the 100,000 or so passengers in our catchment who travel to Tunisia each year and will increase choice for those seeking sunshine over Easter.”
