Cautious optimism is order of the day A NOTE FROM THE EDITOR

Industry leaders taking part in this week’s Travel Weekly Future of Travel Spring Forum painted a measured but cautiously optimistic picture of the outlook for the industry (pages 4-7). None were reckless enough to suggest the future was a bed of roses, and financial experts warned that the upcoming period around the sector’s restart would be a time of significant risk as well as potential reward. But along with a healthy dose of realism about the challenges to come, there was an underlying sense of positivity about long-term prospects for those who can navigate the coming months and a clear feeling of relief that a potential pathway was beginning to emerge. If you haven’t already, I would urge you to head to travelweekly.co.uk to watch those discussions in full as you chart your own route to recovery.

We’re back in print The sense of cautious optimism among our forum guests also extends to Travel Weekly, and I am delighted that we are once again able to deliver your weekly magazine in print following a brief digital-only hiatus caused by the second national lockdown. Despite what we hope will be a permanent return to print distribution, we are aware it may yet be some time until you are in your regular places of work again, so please do let us know if you would like your magazine to be delivered to an alternative address. To do so, simply email travelweekly@subsriptionhelpline.co.uk, including your account number and preferred address.
