Wendy Wu plans Chinese health tourism itineraries

Wendy Wu Tours has unveiled plans to develop medical tourism and wellbeing trips across China.


Founder Wendy Wu made the announcement at the launch of the operator’s partnership with China’s Shaanxi region. The operator said it would take about 18 months to create tours where customers with medical complaints such as insomnia or hair loss would be able to seek help from experts in Chinese herbal medicine while on holiday. Wu said: “We are working with


many leaders in the field in China to establish health and wellbeing products for many common illnesses, for which the Chinese have very effective cures.” Wendy Wu also hopes to increase passenger numbers to the Shaanxi region by 10%-30% following the start of its official partnership with Shaanxi’s Provincial Tourism Development Commission.


Mercury adds six countries including Ethiopia and Panama


Mercury Holidays has added six destinations and 11 new tours for 2018-19.

difference,” said Wu. “Xi’an is one of the world’s most-popular destinations. This will give us a mission to push tourism to the next boundary for deeper cultural exchange.” The operator hopes to be the


first to offer trips to the world’s largest panda reserve, being built in the Shaanxi region. No date has been revealed for its completion. Wendy Wu Tours will invite
