Gok Wan joins roster of celebrity speakers on Sapphire Princess


TV presenter and fashion expert Gok Wan has joined a line-up of


celebrities speaking on UK-based Sapphire Princess this summer. The 2,670-passenger vessel


will sail ex-Southampton voyages to the Mediterranean, northern Europe, Canada and New England. Wan will be on Sapphire’s


seven-night Norwegian Fjords cruise, departing July 6.


Among the 12 celebrities lined


up are former Olympic skier Eddie ‘the Eagle’ Edwards, TV presenter Des O’Connor, Princess Diana’s butler Paul Burrell and popstar Duncan James. All will host 45-minute talks. Prices for the 14-night

Cunard has made Liverpool an embarkation port for a transatlantic sailing this summer in response to trade demand.


Passengers can now board Queen


Mary 2 in Liverpool on July 16 for a 12-night sailing to New York, joining the ship two days after it sets sail from Southampton. The new Northern Atlantic


Westbound Crossing and Iceland sailing, departing Southampton on July 14, leads in at £1,999. As well as Liverpool, ports of


call include Reykjavik, Iceland; and Corner Brook and Halifax, Canada.

The line’s three ships are scheduled to cover 94 destinations in 38 countries between November 2020 and May 2021. Flagship Queen Mary 2 will be heading for southern Africa, the Indian Ocean, Australia, southeast Asia and the Mediterranean.
