Princess Cruises to operate 185 Alaska departures in 2028

Princess Cruises has put its 2028 Alaska season on sale, offering 185 departures across eight ships. The programme features 14
itineraries, ranging from four to 16 nights, with departures from Seattle, Vancouver, Anchorage (Whittier), San Francisco and Los Angeles. The line’s newest ship, Star
Princess, will return to the region, in addition to Discovery Princess, Emerald Princess, Royal Princess, Coral Princess, Crown Princess, Island Princess and Ruby Princess. The Voyage of the Glaciers one-
way itineraries, which sail between Anchorage and Vancouver, include visits to Juneau, Ketchikan and Skagway. Many of the sailings include two glacier-viewing experiences and the opportunity to take a land-based cruise tour. The programme’s round-trip
Inside Passage voyages, meanwhile, have been designed for first-time visitors to Alaska. Highlights include visits to Glacier Bay National Park and

includes Denali Princess Wilderness Lodge, Mt McKinley Princess Wilderness Lodge, Fairbanks Princess Riverside Lodge, Kenai Princess Wilderness Lodge and Copper River Princess Wilderness Lodge.

IT’S DIFFERENT OUT HERE: The view from Norwegian Cruise Line
I’ve always been a huge fan of Norwegian Cruise Line and
over the years I’ve sailed on seven NCL ships, from the Arctic and Europe to the Caribbean. Within Travel Counsellors, I’ve become known as something of an NCL go-to person, helping colleagues with
recommendations, advice and product knowledge. When NCL launched its NCL Champions programme in
2025, I was excited to apply and deepen my knowledge and relationship with a cruise line I’ve personally enjoyed so much. Looking back, it’s been an unforgettable experience. The standout moment was travelling to Miami for the
christening of Norwegian Luna, followed by a sailing to Great Stirrup Cay. What’s been equally special has been sharing the journey with my fellow Champions. What started as a professional programme has created friendships that I know will last long after our time as Champions comes to an end. My favourite ship must be Norwegian Luna, with
Norwegian Joy a close second after an incredible transatlantic crossing. As for destinations, Trieste in Italy remains a hidden gem and is well worth exploring. My advice for agents selling NCL is simple: focus on
the value. Free at Sea remains one of the strongest offers in cruising, while NCL’s diverse fleet means there’s truly a ship and experience for every client.
