Universal Orlando Resort is to expand its Universal Partner Community training programme with more detail on how to sell the resort and more content about its sister park in Los Angeles. Te move follows Universal
Parks and Resorts’ decision to centralise its sales teams which now represent both Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood. Speaking at the IPW conference
in Anaheim, Frank Belzer, senior vice-president for portfolio sales, said: “We are working on phase two of the Universal Orlando Resort training, which should be live in October or November.
“There is clearly a desire to have access to more information”
“Te first phase focused on the
product, so this will focus on how to sell Universal, and share insight on customer preferences and how to cross-sell our products.” He added: “We have seen
demand for more Hollywood con- tent, so we will be including more information in our next release.” Dennis Quinn, senior vice-
president for sales at Universal Studios Hollywood, said: “We have
seen fantastic demand from the UK trade, and there is clearly a desire to have access to more information.” Both Universal parks are gearing
up for new openings, with Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure due to open within the Wizarding World of Harry Poter in Orlando on June 13, and the Jurassic World ride due to open in Hollywood this summer. In addition to new atractions,
Universal Orlando Resort is expand- ing accommodation options, includ- ing the Surfside Inn and Suites, which opens later this month.

include a commitment to respecting communities, promoting tourist activity beyond key sites and preserving California’s natural resources. Visit California chief executive
Caroline Beteta said the creation of the resource centre marked a shiſt from destination marketing to “destination management”. She added: “Our industry is
like any other commodity and it needs to be sustainable. “A lot of what we are focusing
