Ryanair reveals new routes to Portugal


Ryanair will launch two routes to Porto in April, operating three times a week to the Portuguese city from Bristol and twice-weekly from Leeds Bradford. The budget carrier will also start two other twice-weekly services this year: Cardiff to Belfast International from April and Exeter to Faro, Portugal, from June. ryanair.com

Cook’s Club to open brand’s fifth property in Greece in May


Cook’s Club will open its 10th hotel in May, in the village of Kolymbia in Rhodes. It will be the third Cook’s Club


hotel in Rhodes and the adult- only brand’s fifth in Greece. The property features 271


rooms and suites, plus two outdoor pools, a gym, three bars and three restaurants. Entertainment will include


live DJs and themed parties, and Rhodes City is a short drive away. Rooms cost from £86 per night

BA Euroflyer unveils five new routes from Gatwick this year

British Airways’ Gatwick-based subsidiary, BA Euroflyer, has added five short-haul routes to its European network. In summer, BA’s low-cost offshoot will start services


to Montpellier in France, the Greek islands of Corfu and Mykonos, and the Austrian city of Salzburg. Montpellier is a new addition to the BA network,


with flights to operate three times a week from May 27. From May 30, BA Euroflyer will operate three


flights a week to Corfu, followed by a weekly service to Mykonos from June 10. The airline’s new summer service to Salzburg,


operating three times a week from March 28, is in addition to BA’s winter flights from Gatwick and Heathrow. The fifth new route is an eight-flights-a-week winter service to Innsbruck, Austria, starting on December 8.

Gatwick will see two new European services this spring, with Wizz Air starting daily flights to Nice, France, from March 26 and Lufthansa launching a twice-daily link to Frankfurt, its main hub in Germany, from April 23. Wizz Air’s one-way fares start at £26.99. The low-cost airline now offers more than 25 routes from Gatwick following the opening of its base at the airport in October 2020. lufthansa.com
