ROYAL CARIBBEAN INTERNATIONAL

A Holiday Worth Waiting For

Times have been tough in 2020, but at Royal Caribbean International, we want to look to the future, and what better way to forget the frustration of the past year than by offering customers something to look forward to as well? Our new campaign, A Holiday Worth Waiting For, will give your clients the hope and excitement they need right now, looking ahead to 2021, our new 2022 programme and beyond.

RESTARTING CRUISE

“At Royal Caribbean, health and safety is our utmost priority. We are working hard behind the scenes on comprehensive Healthy Return to Service protocols to protect our crew, guests and the destinations we visit,” says Ben Bouldin, vice-president for Europe, Middle East and Africa. “We are seeing positive signs in our international markets. Royal Caribbean received approval from the Singapore government to restart cruises from Singapore on December 1. The three and four-night Ocean Getaway cruises are available to Singapore residents on one of Royal Caribbean’s most innovative ships, Quantum of the Seas. “We have been working closely with local authorities to follow

all requirements including the CruiseSafe Certification standards, which lines must obtain prior to sailing out of Singapore.”

WHAT TO WATCH IN 2021

“Europe will be a big draw for UK guests next year, as it’s likely they will seek holiday experiences closer to home,” adds Bouldin. “The good news is that in four or seven-day sailings, guests

can see bucket-list locations from Rome to Ibiza, all from the comfort of some of the world’s most unforgettable cruise ships, with Harmony of the Seas, Odyssey of the Seas and Anthem of the Seas all based in Europe next year. “Harmony of the Seas’ 16 decks offer plenty of fun for families, including the tallest slide at sea. Once they’ve had their fill of thrills on board, they can visit incredible locations such as Naples, Florence and Palma de Mallorca. “Odyssey of the Seas is the latest to join our fleet, and will

explore Greece, Israel, Italy and Turkey in 2021. It’s packed with experiences, entertainment and global gastronomy, ideal for guests wanting a new ship with all the bells and whistles. “For those looking closer to home, Anthem of the Seas is

sailing from Southampton next summer. The ship is filled with family-friendly activities, plus 360-degree views from the North Star, which rises high above the ship.”

SELLING 2022

Royal Caribbean has revealed details of its 2022 deployment, which will see a record seven ships – one more than in 2021 – based in Europe. They include Odyssey of the Seas sailing from Rome, the Oasis- class Allure of the Seas sailing the Mediterranean from Barcelona, and most importantly for the British market, Anthem of the Seas sailing ex-Southampton. The line has also announced a series of itineraries farther afield, with sailings in Alaska and the Caribbean planned for 2022.
