Wizz Air expands routes from Gatwick, Luton and Leeds


Wizz Air has added seven routes from Luton and Gatwick airports this winter. Both airports will gain links


to Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, with Gatwick also offering connections to Agadir and Marrakech in Morocco. The expansion from Luton


sees the addition of flights to Hurghada, Prague and Tallinn, bringing the carrier’s network up to 65 destinations. One-way fares start at £17.99. Additionally, the airline

Ex-Encore Tickets bosses launch trade-friendly agency Ticketpipe

Travel industry veterans John Wales and Sean Sweeney have launched Ticketpipe, a trade-friendly ticket agency for West End shows. Wales and Sweeney were two of the founding team


behind Encore Tickets in 2000. Ticketpipe will work with travel agents, tour


operators, group travel organisations and tourism businesses to book shows for their clients. The duo said the agency would “increase business


links and profits for both the travel industry and theatre producers and owners”. They said the aim of the business was “simple”: to


connect tour operators easily with an “expert team” to process orders and deliver ticket sales for theatre shows. The business officially launched at WTM following
