Freebird to launch Gatwick-Bodrum link
Freebird Airlines is to launch a twice-weekly service from Gatwick to Bodrum. The Turkish carrier’s flights will operate on Tuesdays and Fridays from May 24. It is also doubling frequencies on its Gatwick- Antalya service – which resume on May 23 – to four per week.

Trafalgar launches programme of 13 women-only tours
Trafalgar has launched a range of ‘Women’s Only’ escorted tours, with 13 itineraries across the UK, Europe, Egypt and Jordan. The trips will be led by an
all-female team of travel directors and wellbeing directors. Clients can meet “inspiring”

day Best of Devon and Cornwall tour, which visits Bath, Bristol, Plymouth, Dunster, Lynmouth, Exeter, St Ives and Stonehenge. A nine-day Best of Egypt tour

Jet2 rolls out raft of European routes and city-break packages

Jet2 is relaunching a series of European routes this spring following the easing of travel restrictions. A new route from Birmingham to Barcelona will
start on April 7, followed by new services from both Manchester and Birmingham to Athens from April 14, with packages under the Jet2CityBreaks brand. Services resumed to Rome from Birmingham
and Manchester airports on Monday, as the operator reported a “significant rise in demand for city breaks”. Prices for three nights’ B&B in Athens, staying at
the four-star Titania Hotel, start at £349 based on two sharing and flying from Manchester on April 28.
Jet2.com will resume other city-break routes this month to Barcelona, Budapest, Prague, Paris, Venice

Icelandic carrier Play has put tickets for its new service from Stansted to New York Stewart International on sale. One-way fares start at £159 with the first flight departing on June 10. Flights go via Reykjavik, allowing passengers to extend their trip in Iceland or continue to New York after a stopover of one hour and 35 minutes.

EasyJet to launch twice-weekly
Gatwick flights to Krk in Croatia EasyJet will start to serve the Croatian island of Krk from Gatwick on May 3. Flights will run twice a week to Rijeka on Tuesdays and Saturdays. UK country manager Ali Gayward said: “We remain committed to providing even more choice for customers, growing our operation to become Gatwick’s largest airline.”
