THIS WEEK’S BEST PICTURES FROM THE FRONTLINE OF TRAVEL
1. Agents from Co-Operative Travel embark on a full day of training at the West Midland Safari Park in Bewdley, Worcestershire, as part of the business’s Festival of Travel event. Forty agents and 16 tour operators, including G Adventures, Hoseasons, James Villas, Gold Medal and Travel 2, attended and themed their training sessions around a particular destination. 2. Bolsover Cruise Club agents welcome Cunard’s Richard Cross (left) to the office as the line travels around the country, visiting more than 500 agents, to promote its Alaska voyages. Agents were handed ice creams to cool off during the soaring temperatures last month. The line is preparing to move into peak Alaska trading time. 3. Barrhead Travel agents Sophie King (left) and Shannon Sweeney are pictured at the Love Island villa. The agency won two tickets to the final in Majorca through a competition run by the show’s sponsor Jet2holidays, and the agents were chosen after giving a reason why they deserved a place. 4. Tipto agent members enjoy a champagne afternoon tea at Birmingham Botanical Gardens. The event is one of four Tipto gatherings in August, celebrating the association’s 20th anniversary. Agents from Worcester-based Spires Travel, homeworking firms Not Just Travel and Travel Counsellors, and Barrhead Travel’s managed service branches and homeworking division Brilliant Travel attended.
