Disney Cruise Line reveals details of Disney Magic’s UK itineraries

Disney Cruise Line ship Disney Magic is preparing to put a range of short cruises around the UK this summer on sale. The ship will operate mostly

two and three-night sailings, as well as some four-night sailings round-trip from London Tilbury, Newcastle, Liverpool and Southampton. Passengers will remain aboard throughout the reduced-capacity sailings. Families will be allowed on

board and the company said it had not made a decision on whether a Covid vaccine would be required as “the situation with vaccines continues to evolve quickly”. Covid-19 testing, health screenings, face coverings,

distancing and “enhanced cleaning” will take place. Disney Cruise Line has

also put its 2022 European programme on sail, including three round-trip departures from Dover.

Celebrity Silhouette to operate British cruises from Southampton

Celebrity Cruises is to deploy newly-revamped Celebrity Silhouette on UK domestic sailings this summer. The ship will run ex-

Southampton departures for British passengers vaccinated against Covid-19 and those under 18 with negative PCR test results. Cruises are due to depart

from July 3 on a series of six to eight-night itineraries around Britain’s coastline including Portland, Inverness, Kirkwall, Glasgow, Belfast and Liverpool. The number of departures and

prices are yet to be confirmed. President and chief executive

Captain Minnie Mouse

Lisa Lutoff-Perlo said: “We’re delighted to be returning to

Celebrity Silhouette

Southampton after over a year away. We are truly committed to the UK market and can’t wait to welcome guests back on board.” A multimillion-pound refit

of Celebrity Silhouette last year, when all cruises were cancelled due to the pandemic, involved all cabins and suites; the addition of an open-air retreat area for suite passengers; revamped restaurants, bars and lounges; new shops; and digital key access to accommodation. cruisingpower.com
