Saga Cruises reveals round-Britain sailings aboard its Spirit ships
Saga Cruises is to deploy sister 999-passenger ships Spirit of Adventure and Spirit of Discovery on domestic cruises this summer. New ship Spirit of Adventure’s
maiden voyage will be a 15-night round-Britain sailing from London Tilbury to Dover in July, with ports of call including Newcastle, Newhaven, Dundee, Kirkwall, Orkney Islands, Ullapool, Greenock, Belfast, Douglas, Holyhead, Bristol and Falmouth. Prices start at £3,458. Spirit of Discovery will run
three cruises, all from Tilbury from June 27, including one to the Norwegian fjords but with no ports of call. Six-night cruises are priced from £1,154.

Cook’s Club to relaunch this summer with eight properties

Lifestyle hotel brand Cook’s Club is to be relaunched to UK holidaymakers ahead of reopenings planned for this summer. The brand’s eight hotels are due to reopen from
May, including Cook’s Club Hersonissos in Crete, and Cook’s Club Adakoy in Marmaris, Turkey, which have rejoined the franchise for this year. The Cook’s Club brand is owned by Fosun Tourism
Group following its acquisition of the Thomas Cook brand for £11 million in late 2019. It is targeting a “new generation of travellers”,
including “hardworking millennials”, who want an escape from daily life but with a level of comfort and style. Properties feature a casual dining space, a Captain
Cook bar, and a pool offering a daytime social scene with DJs. The hotels are designed with “fun, modern rooms”.
Jet2 plans flights and holidays to Sicily and Sardinia for summer 2022
Jet2.com and Jet2holidays have announced flights and holidays to the Italian islands of Sicily and Sardinia for summer 2022. Sicily will be served with flights to Catania from five UK bases: Birmingham, Bristol, Leeds Bradford, Manchester and Stansted. Sardinia has gone on sale from four bases – Birmingham, Leeds Bradford, Manchester and Stansted – with flights to Olbia.

2022, and the range is being further expanded with new properties under consideration for 2022 in Ibiza, Corfu and Rhodes, and more growth planned for 2023. The Cook’s Club brand was launched in April 2018 by
Thomas Cook. Cook ceased trading in September 2019.

Aegean Airlines offers services to Greece from Heathrow and Gatwick
Aegean Airlines is launching flights from the UK this summer from May 17. From Heathrow, the Greek carrier will fly three times a week to the islands of Mykonos and Santorini and also to Thessaloniki on the mainland, while Heraklion will be served by a daily connection. From Gatwick, Aegean will operate four flights a week to Corfu.
