Royal to operate four ships in Alaska in summer 2027
Royal Caribbean has launched its summer 2027 Alaska season, with four ships set to sail seven-night voyages in the region. Anthem of the Seas will sail
from Vancouver and Seward, with a seven-night Alaska Adventure Cruise leading in at £613. The ship will also offer
passengers the chance to observe the scenery from its all-glass North Star observation capsule. Quantum of the Seas and
Voyager of the Seas will both offer round-trip sailings from Seattle. The Alaska Adventure Cruise
on Quantum starts from £940 on September 20, while Voyager’s prices start at £637 for a seven- night Alaska Experience Cruise. Serenade of the Seas will
homeport in Vancouver. An Alaska Inside Passage Cruise on May 9 leads in from £648.

Scenic unveils debut itineraries for Ikon
Scenic Group has released a brochure for upcoming new vessel Scenic Ikon. The 270-berth ship’s maiden season starts in April 2028, with sailings through to March 2029 visiting 110 ports in 21 countries. Cruises span the Mediterranean, Aegean, Egypt, Cape Verde, Dakar, Antarctica, Falkland Islands and Chile.

Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection has added London Tilbury as a turnaround port for cruises to northern Europe for 2027. The all-suite luxury line’s summer 2027 Mediterranean and northern Europe programme comprises 50 sailings on 298-passenger Evrima and 448-passenger Ilma between April and October. The collection features 12 new ports of call across France, Denmark, Norway, Germany, Spain and Italy.

Explora Journeys adds preview cruise for Explora III in July 2026
Explora Journeys has put a preview cruise on sale for Explora III ahead of its maiden voyage on August 3, 2026. The Mediterranean Prelude itinerary will depart from Genoa on July 24 and sail to Civitavecchia via Marseille, Saint-Tropez, Villefrance-sur-Mer and Livorno. Passengers will have the chance to meet the ship’s development team. Prices start at £3,900.

Azamara schedules 87 sailings in winter 2027-28 programme

Azamara Cruises has unveiled its winter 2027-28 itineraries with more than 150 late-night departures and 60 overnight stays in port. The line will operate 87 cruises across its four-ship
fleet between October 16, 2027, and April 28, 2028. The collection features six maiden ports for the
line: São Francisco do Sul and Paranaguá in Brazil, Fraser Island and Gladstone in Australia, Bimini in the Bahamas and Algiers in Algeria. The itineraries also offer a record number of
combinable cruises so passengers can embark on extended journeys. The 30 unique combinations include a 28-night option comprising the 14-night Vietnam & Hong Kong Cruise and 14-night Japan Intensive cruise, collectively featuring 20 ports of call. Other programme highlights include Egypt
