Latin Routes introduces Mexico with six culture-themed tours

Samantha Mayling

Latin Routes has added Mexico to its portfolio to cater for growing demand from agents whose clients are looking to visit the country beyond its well-known beach resorts. The debut of its Mexican range follows the launch of

Panama, and the South American specialist plans to add more destinations later this year. Senior product manager Cat Davies described Mexico

as a “diverse country with lots to offer every traveller”. “Clients can immerse themselves in the Mayan and

Aztec cultures and ancient ruins, discover its dramatic mountains and canyons, and enjoy its world-renowned gastronomy,” she said. Six itineraries have been created, including the

17-day Mezcal to Mole tour, which is a “gastronomic adventure” taking clients from Oaxaca to Puerto Vallarta.

It costs from £5,899 and includes international

flights, 15 nights’ accommodation, guided street food tours in Oaxaca, Puebla and San Miguel de Allende, mezcal tasting in Oaxaca, a Mexico City tour including the pyramids at Teotihuacan and a cookery class, a vineyard visit and wine tasting in San Miguel de Allende, tequila tasting in Guadalajara and all private car transfers. Other tours in the Latin Routes range are Highlights

of Mexico, Luxury Mexico, Mexico Culture and Nature, Copper Canyon and Yucatan in Depth. Felipe Francisco, senior marketing manager, added:

“Mexico is a natural fit for UK travellers. Demand for Mexico remains high post-pandemic and it’s not difficult to see why: beautiful beaches, vibrant cities, spectacular natural wonders, 35 World Heritage Sites, an incredibly rich culture, plus delicious food.” latinroutes.co.uk/agents
