THIS WEEK’S BEST PICTURES FROM THE FRONTLINE OF TRAVEL
1. Volunteers from Travel Village Group and Royal Caribbean take part in a litter pick at Blackpool seafront, which saw about 50kg of rubbish collected. It is the first of four beach cleans planned this year. The agency and cruise line partnered with Blackpool Council and a marine recycling initiative called Tangle. 2. Lisa Marshall from Hays Travel in Deal, Kent, is given a luxurious afternoon tea hamper from Sandals Resorts after securing a £37,000 booking to Sandals Grande Antigua with Unique Caribbean Holidays. 3. Sharon Ashford, senior travel consultant at Fred Olsen Travel in Beccles, Suffolk, receives bottles of French wine (on behalf of a colleague), from Stephen Joyner, head of sales at A-Rosa River Cruises. The cruise line teamed up with Titan Travel to run an incentive offering six bottles to any agent who booked one of its Portraits of the Rhone itineraries in February or March. 4. Agents learn about the Inghams rebrand at the Tipto roadshow in Hull. The event, in the city’s DoubleTree by Hilton hotel, attracted more than 80 agents and a total of 12 operators, including Blue Diamond Resorts, Gold Medal, Newmarket and Scenic & Emerald Cruises.
