Explora names Horn as brand ambassador
Explorer and environmentalist Mike Horn has been named as Explora Journeys’ brand ambassador. Horn has completed expeditions in remote parts of the globe and crossed the Arctic and Antarctic, as well as sailing solo around the world. He will advise on shore excursions and onboard programmes, and will sail on the September 9 Iceland and Greenland itinerary.

Air Transat has boosted its direct flight services from the UK to Canada, giving clients even more choice this summer
Air Transat has increased its summer services to Canada, with up to 41 direct flights a week departing from the UK and Ireland.
With two travel classes and three fare options, meals, drinks and inflight entertainment are included as standard on the airline’s modern Airbus planes.
There are now up to 14 flights a week from Gatwick to Toronto, up to seven to Montreal and one a week to Quebec City. Those flying from Manchester or Dublin can benefit from up to six flights a week to Toronto, while the Glasgow-Toronto route has increased to up to seven flights a week.
With connections to other parts of Canada, including Calgary and Vancouver, and Florida and California in the US, passengers can easily access the gateways to world-class ski resorts, the Rocky Mountains and popular US beach destinations.
Air Transat’s fleet includes the A321LR, the greenest in its class burning 15% less fuel. It boasts more space in economy than the Airbus A310, 50% less cabin noise and larger entertainment screens.
