Collaboration is defined as ‘a partnership, a union, the act of producing or making something together … with the possibility of producing an outcome greater than one developed alone’. At Seabourn, we believe in the power of working together to achieve greater success, and we do this in many different ways.
We recently exhibited at ITB in Berlin, the world’s largest
tourism trade show, alongside our sister brands, including Aida, Carnival’s German language cruise line. Exhibiting together gave us value for money, a more effective showcase and a greater opportunity to meet more European agent partners and media. We work with Clia on events and conferences – even with our cruise line competitors – since our mission is to grow the number of people taking a cruise and the number of agent partners selling cruise and expeditions. Although we are in competition, we know together we have a greater voice.
Seabourn is proud to have recently joined Atas,
(the Association of Touring & Adventure Suppliers), an association that has a united aim of raising the sector’s profile and helping agents develop their expertise and boost sales. We look forward to seeing you at Atas events.
Collaboration is fun. To work together, share ideas and
good practice, and to see results. In the Seabourn family we collaborate between ship and shore departments. I love attending the Cruise Directors’ conference and enjoy collaborating with BK Productions, who create our onboard entertainment and have brought stellar Seabourn performers to Travel Weekly and Clia events.
Most of all I love the way our industry pulls together in good, and less good, times. Friendships and partnerships are so much about the success of cruise and travel.
