Time to nominate for our ‘Golden Globes’ A NOTE FROM THE EDITOR
The launch of Globe Travel Awards nominations and entries is always a special time, coming as it does each year as we enter what we hope will be a strong ‘second peaks’ during September. The Globes hold a special place in the hearts of many in the trade, with an array of the industry’s top companies and individuals honoured at travel’s biggest annual celebration. And the 2027 edition will be particularly resonant, as we plan to mark the 50th anniversary of the event with another spectacular celebration at London’s JW Marriott Grosvenor House hotel. With travel agents getting their time to shine at the AAAs each
summer, the primary focus of the Globes is the suppliers whose products and services are enjoyed by millions of consumers every year.
And to ensure we have the best of the best on our shortlists when they are announced in November, we need you, our agent readers, to come out in force once again to nominate those who are particularly deserving of recognition. As I wrote last week, the year to date has been a challenging one, with a positive start
derailed by the Middle East conflict but many travel businesses finding ways to maintain momentum against the headwinds. Underpinning much of that resilience are the partnerships that are central to winners’ success, and we look forward to showcasing them at our 50th anniversary ‘Golden Globes’ on January 14.
